1. Acceptance of These Terms

By creating an account, signing in, using the BEERLEAGUE website, joining matchmaking, using BEERCOMMS or any BEERLEAGUE communication feature, joining BEERLEAGUE servers, participating in tournaments, or otherwise using BEERLEAGUE services, you agree to these Terms of Service and to the BEERLEAGUE Acceptable Use Policy.

If you do not agree, do not create an account or use BEERLEAGUE services.

2. About BEERLEAGUE

BEERLEAGUE is a community gaming platform for Counter-Strike: Source and related community activity, including matchmaking, server play, player profiles, stats, tournaments, team and lobby coordination, direct messages, group chats, and other community features.

BEERLEAGUE is intended to be a fun, fair, and chill community. We are not here to over-police normal banter, but we have little to no tolerance for behavior that harms players, disrupts matches, or puts the community at risk.

3. Eligibility and Legal Age

You are responsible for making sure your use of BEERLEAGUE is lawful where you live.

BEERLEAGUE does not endorse, promote, or condone the consumption of alcohol or other regulated substances by anyone who is not of legal age. Any references to beer, league, or similar community branding are part of the community identity and do not give anyone permission to break local laws.

4. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for your account, login credentials, Steam-linked identity, and activity that occurs under your account.

You agree not to:

Share your account with others.
Impersonate another person, player, admin, or community representative.
Use fake, misleading, or abusive account details.
Attempt to bypass bans, restrictions, cooldowns, penalties, or moderation actions.
Interfere with account security, authentication, Steam linking, or identity systems.

BEERLEAGUE may suspend, restrict, or remove accounts when needed to protect the community, servers, platform, or other users.

5. Matchmaking, Lobbies, and Competitive Play

When using BEERLEAGUE matchmaking, lobbies, tournaments, scrims, or competitive features, you agree to play in good faith.

You agree not to:

Join lobbies or matches with no intent to play.
Intentionally abandon, sabotage, grief, stall, or disrupt a match.
Abuse ready-up, team selection, lobby, invite, queue, or launch systems.
Harass players over match results, skill level, team assignment, voice communication, or stats.
Manipulate matchmaking, BEERLO, stats, match results, or tournament outcomes.
Exploit bugs or loopholes in the matchmaking platform.

BEERLEAGUE may apply match penalties, BEERLO penalties, cooldowns, restrictions, or bans for abuse of matchmaking or competitive systems.

6. Content You Submit

You are responsible for content you submit or share through BEERLEAGUE, including usernames, profile content, avatars, messages, sprays, uploads, posts, tournament names, team names, and chat content.

You agree that your content must not violate these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, another person’s rights, any applicable law, or community safety standards.

By submitting content, you give BEERLEAGUE permission to display, store, transmit, moderate, remove, and use that content as needed to operate the website, matchmaking, servers, stats, communication tools, and community features.

7. Moderation and Enforcement

BEERLEAGUE admins and moderators may take action when they believe it is necessary to protect the community, platform, servers, players, or fair play.

Actions may include:

Warning.
Message deletion.
Chat restriction.
Lobby or matchmaking restriction.
BEERLO or match penalties.
Kick or temporary removal.
Temporary ban.
Permanent ban.
Account suspension or deletion.
Reporting serious illegal activity to proper authorities.

Moderation decisions are made at BEERLEAGUE’s discretion. Attempts to evade moderation may result in stronger penalties.

8. Service Availability and Changes

BEERLEAGUE is provided as a community service. Features may change, break, go offline, be updated, or be removed at any time.

We may update matchmaking, stats, BEERCOMMS, tournaments, servers, policies, or rules as the community grows. Continued use of BEERLEAGUE after changes means you accept the updated terms.

9. No Guarantee of Data, Stats, or Rankings

BEERLEAGUE may track stats, BEERLO, match history, abandon penalties, player records, tournament data, and server activity. While we try to keep these systems accurate, we do not guarantee that stats, rankings, records, or match data will always be complete, correct, or available.

BEERLEAGUE may correct, remove, reset, or adjust data where needed due to bugs, abuse, cheating, technical issues, or moderation decisions.

10. Privacy and Safety

Do not post private personal information about yourself or others in public areas, chats, lobbies, server chat, or group messages.

BEERLEAGUE may collect and store information needed to operate the platform, such as account details, Steam identifiers, match participation, chat messages, moderation records, server activity, technical logs, and security data.

This information may be used for platform operation, matchmaking, stats, communication features, safety, moderation, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and legal compliance.

11. Termination

BEERLEAGUE may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the website, matchmaking, servers, chat, stats, tournaments, or any related service at any time if you violate these Terms, violate the Acceptable Use Policy, or create risk for the community.

You may stop using BEERLEAGUE at any time.

12. Final Notes

These Terms of Service are meant to define the basic agreement for using BEERLEAGUE. Community conduct rules are maintained separately in the BEERLEAGUE Acceptable Use Policy, but both documents apply when you use BEERLEAGUE.

Competitive Rank & BEERLO Guide

BEERLEAGUE Competitive rank is driven by BEERLO, a performance-based rating that starts at 1000 and moves after completed Competitive matches. Your rank badge is the visual class/level attached to your current unlocked BEERLO.

This guide explains how ranking unlocks, what changes BEERLO, and every rank level from Private to General of the Army.

Overview

New players are Provisional until they complete 10 final Competitive matches.
While provisional, the site can show No Rank / locked BEERLO instead of a public rank.
Once ranked, your Competitive badge is selected by your BEERLO threshold.
BEERLO starts at 1000, has a floor of 100, and each match delta is capped from -50 to +80.
Ranks advance mostly every 50 BEERLO, with the final prestige jump from General to General of the Army at 2400.

Important: Rank is not just kills. Winning matters, but so do assists, ADR, objectives, MVPs, opening kills, trades, deaths, team damage, team kills, and abandonment penalties.

Step 1: Play 10 Competitive Matches to Unlock Rank

BEERLO is hidden/locked for new players until they have enough completed Competitive match history. The current unlock requirement is:

10+ final matches

BEERLO and Competitive rank badge become visible.

Starting Point

1000 BEERLO

Everyone begins from the same baseline before performance deltas.

Step 2: Understand What Moves BEERLO

After each final Competitive match, BEERLO changes based on a capped match delta. The current scoring model is:

Combat: kills × 6, assists × 3, deaths × -4

Damage: (ADR - 75) × 0.35

Objective: bomb plants × 5, defuses × 7, MVP rounds × 4

Skill: headshot kills × 1, opening kills × 3, opening deaths × -2, trade kills × 2

Result: win +15, loss -8

Penalties: team kills × -10, team damage × -0.05, plus recorded abandonment penalties

Per-match cap: minimum -50, maximum +80

Note: BEERSTATS maps players back to their logical Matchmaking team for wins/losses, so halftime, knife, and overtime side swaps do not turn a real win into a false loss on normal Matchmaking-created matches.

How to Climb

Win matches, but do not rely only on the win bonus.
Stay alive and trade well: deaths hurt, opening deaths hurt more, and trade kills help.
Do useful damage: ADR over 75 adds rating pressure upward.
Play objectives: plants, defuses, and MVP rounds all matter.
Avoid team damage/team kills: griefy or careless damage directly subtracts BEERLO.
Finish your matches: abandonment penalties are applied separately and can pull BEERLO down.

BEERLEAGUE communication tools are provided for community coordination, match organization, and social interaction.

This includes, but is not limited to:

Lobby chat.
Direct messages.
Group chats.
Team and tournament chats.
Server chat.
Voice communication.
Profile or status content.

You agree not to use BEERLEAGUE communication features to:

Harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, or target another person.
Send hate speech, racist remarks, discriminatory content, or abusive messages.
Share sexual content involving minors or make jokes or references involving pedophilia.
Share another person’s private information without permission.
Spam, flood, scam, phish, advertise malicious links, or spread malware.
Coordinate cheating, harassment, ban evasion, exploitation, or attacks against BEERLEAGUE or others.
Abuse DMs or group chats after being asked to stop.

BEERLEAGUE may review, preserve, remove, or act on communications where needed for moderation, safety, platform operation, abuse prevention, or legal compliance.

4. Legal Age and Regulated Substances

We do not endorse, promote, or condone the consumption of alcohol or other regulated substances by anyone who is not of legal age.

Any references to beer, league, or similar community branding are part of the community identity and do not give anyone permission to break local laws.

5. Racism, Harassment, and Discrimination

No racist remarks, behavior, harassment, threats, or discrimination toward other players or members.

This applies across the website, matchmaking, servers, BEERCOMMS, DMs, group chats, voice, tournaments, player profiles, usernames, avatars, sprays, and any other BEERLEAGUE space.

6. Pedophilia and Sexual Content Involving Minors

Any discussion, reference, joke, image, content, or behavior involving pedophilia or sexual content involving minors will result in an instant ban and may be reported to the proper authorities.

7. Trolling, Griefing, and Drama

If you are here just to provoke people, cause drama, or ruin the experience for others, you are not welcome.

Do not intentionally disrupt matches, abuse voice comms, harass players, bait arguments, spam chat, or interfere with people trying to play.

8. Hacking, Cheating, and Exploits

No cheats, no hacks, no exploits. Play fair. Cheating will not be tolerated.

Prohibited activity includes, but is not limited to:

Wallhacks, aimbots, triggerbots, scripts, macros, or unfair gameplay assistance.
Exploiting map, server, plugin, lobby, stats, BEERLO, or tournament bugs.
Tampering with server state, match data, team assignment, score reporting, or Steam identity.
Attempting unauthorized access to accounts, admin tools, APIs, servers, or databases.
DDoS activity, scraping abuse, spam automation, or intentionally degrading service performance.

9. Competitive Match Conduct

During Premier, competitive, and serious matches, do not talk over players who are actively playing or trying to communicate.

You agree not to:

Join lobbies or matches with no intent to play.
Intentionally abandon, sabotage, grief, stall, or disrupt a match.
Abuse ready-up, team selection, lobby, invite, queue, or launch systems.
Harass players over match results, skill level, team assignment, voice communication, or stats.
Manipulate matchmaking, BEERLO, stats, match results, or tournament outcomes.
Exploit bugs or loopholes in the matchmaking platform.

10. Custom Skins and Sprays

Custom skins and sprays are allowed as long as they follow the community rules.

Do not use skins, sprays, avatars, names, or other custom content that includes hate speech, harassment, sexual content involving minors, illegal material, extreme gore, private information, malware links, or anything else that violates this policy.

11. Platform Abuse

You agree not to reverse engineer, disrupt, attack, overload, or interfere with BEERLEAGUE systems, servers, APIs, databases, SourceMod integrations, matchmaking tools, stats, communication systems, or moderation systems.

Do not attempt to bypass bans, restrictions, cooldowns, penalties, account security, Steam linking, or identity systems.

12. Violations and Enforcement

Violations may result in a warning, removal from the server, message deletion, chat restriction, account restriction, matchmaking restriction, BEERLO or match penalties, temporary ban, permanent ban, account suspension, account deletion, or reporting serious illegal activity to proper authorities.

BEERLEAGUE admins and moderators may act at their discretion when needed to protect the community, platform, servers, players, or fair play.
